The introductory course on String Theory in going to start on Thursday, 
Nov 9, 2006. The course is intended for those how may have to use string 
theory in their research work, but are not necessarily going to do 
research in string theory. Please communicate this to students who may 
be interested.

First meeting:     Time : Thursday Nov 9, 14:00 
                   Place: CoPS seminar room A5:1041
                   (we plan to start with 2 meetings per week initially).
  
Credits:           Basically a 5 point course that can be expanded to 
                   10 points.  

Course Material:   The course is mainly based on lecture notes that are 
available from the course webpage <http://www.physto.se/~fawad/Strings/>
Currently these are scanned from handwritten notes, but (hopefully) soon 
a latex version of most of the material will be available. (some new 
material will also be added)
