Things to do in Stockholm
The easiest way to find a location in Stockholm is to look at the yellow
pages. Choose english on the main page and enter a heading
in the search form, for exampel 'Skansen' or 'museum', and choose
Stockholm as region. Then you will get the address, the location
marked on a map, and directions on how to get there depending on where
you start from.
- Visit Skansen -
the first open-air museum in the world. Skansen is also a zoological
park specialising mainly in Nordic fauna. It is located on the island
of Djurgården, a royal park near the centre of Stockholm. The
easiest way to get to Skansen is by taking bus 44 that leaves from
AlbaNova and also stops outside Hotel Arcadia.
- Close to Skansen you find Gröna Lund, Stockholms
119 year old amusement park.
- The City Hall is
one of Sweden's foremost buildings in the National Romantic
style. Behind the imposing facades, built with 8 million bricks are
found offices, meeting rooms and banquetting halls.
- Watch the changing of the Royal Swedish
Guard outside the Royal Palace.
