How to get to AlbaNova

The easiest way to get to AlbaNova is to take bus 43 or 44 to the endstation Ruddammen, which is located just outside the AlbaNova Campus. It is also possible to take subway 24 in direction Mörby Centrum to the stop Tekniska Högskolan. Leave by the exit called Körsbärsvägen, and then there is a 5 minute walk to AlbaNova. The meeting will be held in building 21 on campus, and the bus stop is outside building 33. Building 21 is the main entrance, that is the rotunda, which is seen in the picture on the main page. The meeting will be held in room FR4, which is one flight of stairs below the entrance.

Directions from the airport

From Arlanda airport it is about 40 km to Stockholm, and you can take either a taxi, the airport coaches or the train to get to the city center and your accomodation.

Outside Arlanda there are taxi stands, and taking a taxi into Stockhom costs roughly 350-500 SEK (~$35-$50) if you take one of the two biggest companies, Taxi Stockholm or Taxi Kurir that have a flat rate. Other companies may charge you more so take care to always ask for the price in advance. Ask the driver to take you to Hotel Arcadia, or if you want to go directly to AlbaNova you ask to be taken to 'Fysikcentrum' at 'Ruddammen'.

There are also Airport Coaches that charges 80 SEK (~$8), and the trip into Stockholm Central Station takes about 40 minutes. The student discount price is 50 SEK (~$5).

From the Central Station you can take either a taxi, the subway, or bus to get to your accomodation. At the Central Station you follow the signs marked 'T' to get to the subway ('tunnelbana' in Swedish) and then you take the red line 24 direction Mörby Centrum to 'Tekniska Högskolan'. Another alternative is to take the airport coach and buy a taxi ticket from the driver. Then a taxi will be waiting for you at the coach stop Haga (just outside the city limit) and take you to your destination. The taxi ticket costs an additional 110 SEK (~$11), which means that the total price for coach and taxi will be 80+110=190 SEK (~$19). More information can be found here

Finally there are trains that take 20 minutes to get to the Central Station, and the price is 160 SEK (~$16), whereas the student discount price is 80 SEK (~$8).
