The Ugli Release of the Amasim (October 2001)

ugli.gif What is an ugli ?
Uglis: a specific kind of tangelo, easier to peel. A crossing between a tangarine, a grapefruit and an orange. Looks really ugli and sometimes has brown spots. Can be peeled manually.
More information on orange like fruits can be found at: www.thefruitpages.com or www.ugli.com

Here is the release of the amasim for the mass01 effort.

The last release was apricot. The apricot introduced a quite some better hardware simulation since the mass00 release. This covered areas TDC, SWAMP and PADC see the apricot or amasim webpages for details.

Summary of changes since then:

  • photonics implementation now seems to be working (!) (see scatserver for the amasim interface to photonics)
  • Fixed bug in ptd phi calculation (pi-phi was calculated)
  • large pulses with up to 5100 bins are allowed now (puls.txt file)
  • Find the executable here:
amasim2.ugli.Linux (use the "save link as" feature of your browser)

    Source code:
As amasim is part of the siegmund archive, you have to get the siegmund tree. After having checked out siegmund, you have to switch the amasim2 subdirectory to the ugli branch. You do this by using:
    cvs update -r ugli

If this causes trouble, one can try the following trick:

or get the tar ball below.

Here is a tar snapshot of the amasim2 ugli directory. This can be extracted into the siegmund tree instead (i.e. cd siegmund; rm -rf amasim2; tar -zxf amasim2_ugli_102201.tgz; cd .. ; ./configure): amasim2_ugli_102201.tgz
